Memorial Biography

Jared came into this world on Friday 13th, under a full moon, and was suddenly take from us on August 16, 2021 Jared spent his growing years in Marathon, Sault Ste. Marie ON and Thunder Bay. In his early adult years, Jared went through a rough spell, but turned his life around and went on to attend Fanshawe College where he earned a 3.8 GPA. He then attended Western University where he graduated with a B.A. in psychology in 2016. Jared made many friends along his way, and made lasting impressions on so many people. Jared knew how to live life and did not look back. Jared was predeceased by his Mother (Sherry Makelainen nee Johns), Frampa (William Lees), Grandparents Mama (Jean) and Papa (Greg Johns), and his Aunties Karen and Anne. Jared will be remembered by his father Ken Lees, brother Jordan (Katte & Ryen), Gramma Lees, cousins Richelle, Samantha, Travis, Taylor, Sasha and Gregg, his Auntie Barb, Colleen, Michelle, and Uncle Allan, and so many friends he made along the way. A Celebration of Life for Jared will be held on September 11th, 2021 at the Royal Canadian Legion with internment to follow. Jared’s family would like to say thank you to all who have been there for us throughout this very trying time.
